At the 43rd meeting of the German Research Association FVA, the 3000 EUR endowed Hans Winter Prize for excellence research work was
awarded to Dr. Andreas Maiwald. This year's award winner, general director of Maiwald Engineering, was able to convince the jury with
his thesis on "Bearing ring creeping in radial bearings under combined loads." The Hans Winter Price is awarded annually by the FVA since
1999. The scientific content (knowledge extension), the usability of research results in practice (practical relevance) and the
preparation and presentation of the studies on a FVA meeting (Presentation and Manuscript) were evaluated.
